In a major move ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday unveiled the Sanjeevani Yojana, a healthcare scheme aimed at providing free medical treatment to senior citizens aged 60 and above.
Kejriwal emphasized that this initiative is a core part of AAP’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the senior citizen. The scheme, which will be launched after the Delhi Assembly elections in early 2025, will offer comprehensive coverage for treatment in both private and government hospitals, ensuring that senior citizens have access to affordable healthcare.
The announcement comes just months before the highly anticipated Delhi Assembly elections, which are expected to take place in February 2025, though the Election Commission is yet to announce the official poll dates. The current term of the Delhi Assembly will end on February 23, 2025.
