The General Administration Department of Assam has released the official list of holidays for 2025.
The list includes various public holidays, festivals, and observances, during which government offices, as well as all Revenue and Magisterial Courts in the state, will remain closed.

The Governor has declared half-holidays (starting at 1 PM) on certain festivals, and the list also includes restricted holidays throughout the year.
Sundays and holidays on specific dates mentioned in the announcement are also observed as public holidays.
For Ali-Aye-Ligang on February 19, full holidays will be observed in the districts of Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Majuli, Charaideo, and Biswanath (11 districts). In other districts, this will be a restricted holiday.
Educational institutions, medical and engineering colleges, and other establishments are advised to adopt or modify this list according to their academic calendars.
