An Azerbaijan Airlines plane, carrying 67 passengers and 5 crew members, crashed on Wednesday in Aktau, western Kazakhstan, while flying from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Grozny (Russia). According to the Kazakh transport ministry, the incident occurred on Wednesday.
The Kazakhstan emergency ministry has reported that 42 people are feared dead, while 25 people are confirmed to have survived the crash. 22 of the survivors have been hospitalized, according to preliminary assessments. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
