Assam Police appeals to the public for their participation in the fight against drugs. “Infoline” is introduced for the general public to share information without going to Police station and their identities will not be revealed. The WhatsApp number where people can share any drug related issue is 6026901246 and the number is available 24/7 for people to report.
The entire campaign of ‘Infoline’ has been planned with the idea ‘educate and eradicate’ ideology where people could learn a lot about the affects of drug abuse and why is it important to eradicate it from our society.
The Commissioner of Police, Guwahati Harmeet Singh mentioned that: “We have taken this measure following an instruction from the Chief Minister. Without help from the public, it is not possible to root out the menace of drugs from the state. ‘Infoline’ is a bridge between the public and police. We appeal to the public to take the better use of ‘Infoline’ and be part of the fight against drugs”
