The Assam Police received a tip-off that 4 people were smuggling drugs via the Dimapur Sunday Bazar road at Karbi Anglong and intercepted the peddlers.
One of the suspected drug peddlers was injured in exchange of fire with the police.
Police also recovered Fifty soap cases with 626 gm heroin, valued at ₹ 6 crore, and 20 ammunitions were found in the bag
In Nagaon a person was arrested with 303 grams of heroin, worth around ₹ 2 crore, the Police added.
The Nagaon Police arrested the person from Nonoi area in Nagaon and the person is identified as RK Hopingson, who is a wanted drug dealer from Senapati district in Manipur.
