The bus, which was headed towards Andheri, collided with 30-40 vehicles over a stretch of 100 meters before crashing into the RCC column of the Solomon Building, breaking its compound wall, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
In response to the tragedy, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the families of the deceased.
