In a startling development, the Mumbai traffic police received a threatening message demanding Rs 5 crore from Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The sender, claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned that Khan’s life would be in jeopardy if the money wasn’t paid.
According to the police, the message, sent via WhatsApp, stated: “Don’t take it lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end his rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay Rs 5 crore. Otherwise, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddique.”
The Mumbai Police are treating this threat very seriously and have launched an investigation. This incident follows the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, which has heightened tensions in the city.
On Thursday, the police issued a Look-Out Circular (LOC) for two individuals, Shiv Kumar Gautam and Zeeshan Akhtar, who are suspects in Siddique’s shooting. Initially, an LOC was only issued for Shubham Lonkar, but authorities now fear the suspects may flee to Nepal. They have alerted all borders and airports, intensifying the search.
Zeeshan Siddique, the son of the slain NCP leader, called for justice and urged that his father’s death not be politicized. So far, four individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, while three remain at large.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized that strict action would be taken against those responsible for such crimes, stating, “No one will be spared. Those found guilty will face the consequences.”
Baba Siddique was tragically shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar, sustaining severe injuries that led to his death on October 12 after being rushed to Lilavati Hospital.
