Shantanu Sen from Assam bags the Film Award on Environmental Conservation in the 67th National Film Awards
The 67th National Film Awards this year has been distributed by the Vice President of India Shri M Venkaiyanaidu on 25th October 2021. There are many noteworthy mentions in this year’s award and brining the limelight to Assam, Northeast India is Shantanu Sen from Namrup, Dibrugarh who bagged the Best Film Award on Environmental Conservation for the movie “Water Burial”.
Shantanu Sen is a talented filmmaker from Assam and he dedicated this award to people of North East India and especially Arunachal Pradesh for being the inspiration behind the film ‘Water Burial.’
Water Burial, is a film based on Monpa dialect of Arunachal Pradesh and the film is inspired by Assamese novel Saba Kota Manuh.
