A very strange incident was observed where a woman faked her pregnancy to avoid tortures from Mother-in-law at Mangaldai, Assam. The incident came to light as she alleged that her newborn twin babies went missing from the hospital which compelled the police to launch an investigation.
The Police came to know that the woman has faked her pregnancy in order to escape from the tortures of her mother-in-law. She also admitted that she faked giving birth to twin babies and misinformed her husband as well. The Police also found that there was no record of the woman being admitted to Mangaldai Civil Hospital.
