The rail electrification process has completed at Kamakhya station on Thursday and now electric locomotive can now directly arrive at Kamakhya station.
The commissioning of the system has completed and electrification authorization was granted by CRS/N.F Circle and the inspection has been done from 7th to 9th October 2021. A total of 780km route KM/1701 Track KM has been completed by the joint efforts of Central Organisation for Railway Electrification and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited
“As such, there will be direct connectivity from New Delhi to Kamakhya on Electric Traction without change of locomotive en route.” Northeast Frontier Railway stated
