On Tuesday, Pakistan conducted rare airstrikes inside Afghanistan’s Paktika province, targeting multiple suspected hideouts of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The strikes reportedly struck a training facility, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 people, including women and children. Four security officials, who spoke anonymously to the Associated Press, confirmed the casualties.
This operation marks the second such strike on TTP hideouts in Afghanistan since March, following previous intelligence-led operations in the region near the border. The situation highlights ongoing tensions between the two countries regarding militant activity along their shared border.
