A shocking incident unfolded on Friday at the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam centre in Patna, as a large group, including several aspirants, stormed an exam hall, grabbing papers from candidates and invigilators. The entire episode was captured on CCTV, which has been accessed by India Today TV.
The chaos at the Bapu Examination Centre began after several aspirants accused the BPSC of leaking the question papers and OMR sheets. Tensions escalated further when candidates complained of a 40-45 minute delay in receiving their question papers, along with inadequate seating arrangements at the centre.
In response to these issues, around 300-400 students decided to boycott the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024. The situation soon turned chaotic, with protesters expressing their frustration over the management and allegations of malpractice.
A recent CCTV clip shows the situation spiraling out of control as individuals rushed into the exam hall. The crowd pushed aside exam officials, raided the desks of students, and disrupted the ongoing test, further fueling the unrest at the centre. The incident has raised serious questions about the conduct of the exam and the measures taken to ensure its integrity.
The authorities are yet to comment on the situation as investigations continue.
