Enjoy Festivities responsibly
Durga Puja festivities are at our doorsteps and we all are in a joyous mood for celebrations. Devotees around Assam will engage in this upcoming festival, where the good destroying the evil as Maa Durga showers her blessings upon us after a Covid19 lockdown and pause to every festivity and movements earlier.
The State Government of Assam has laid down certain SOP’s for the festival and needs to adhere, to avoid the third wave. Keeping this in mind, the State Health Department and National Health Mission would be conducting sudden visits at the Durga puja pandals by allocating flying squads comprising of officials from the district administration and health departments.
The vaccination status of the priests, puja committee members, volunteers, and puja goers will be under the scanner, to check if people have received at least one dose of vaccination. The Health Department also mentioned that if anyone is not vaccinated, they can arrange for vaccination drives and provide protocols for the Durga Puja festivities.
