A chilling and horrific incident from Boragaon, Guwahati, has shaken the city to its core, raising a fiery question about the very essence of humanity especially when it comes to women.
Subjecting to unimagineable cruelty against a young woman, nine men are accused of physical assault and gang-rape.
According to sources, the accused not only carried out the horrible act but also recorded it on camera. Since then, the unsettling video has gone viral on social media, sparking condemnation from all quarters.
According to reports, the event occurredin Boragaon’s Nijarapar area, and as soon as the video surfaced online, an investigation has been launched into the matter.
The police have arrested six accused so far. However, three others are still absconding.
Given the seriousness of the act, the victim’s identity has been kept secret.
To find the remaining offenders, a manhunt is in progress.
