A fresh trading scam has rocked Guwahati, with AD Stock accused of defrauding investors of billions of rupees. The company, led by Alpana Das, promised to double investors’ money in just three months, but has now fled the city with hundreds of crores of rupees, leaving numerous victims in financial ruin.
AD Stock, which operated an office in Hengrabari, attracted investors from across the region, including foreign nationals, by offering high returns on their investments. Many believed the company’s claims, which promised rapid profits through stock market trading. However, the operation turned out to be a scam.
Alpana Das is no stranger to the stock broking world. She previously worked as a manager at DB Stock, a company involved in a previous high-profile trading scam. Her connections and experience in the industry helped her gain the trust of investors, many of whom are now seeking justice.
As the scale of the scam became apparent, several victims have come forward and filed complaints at Dispur Police Station. They allege that Alpana Das and her associates lured them with false promises and vanished with their hard-earned money.
Authorities are now investigating the case, with calls for a thorough probe into the operations of AD Stock and its alleged links to other fraudulent entities. As the hunt for Alpana Das continues, the scale of the fraud is expected to increase as more victims come forward.
